LIC employs a network approach and cluster model to enhance collaboration among public and private actors, grassroots organizations, and community stakeholders. By working in well- defined geographic areas, LIC fosters coordinated, community- driven action to address local needs through efficient, accessible, and high-quality services
Our approach strengthens solidarity, shared learning, and collective problem-solving, ensuring sustainable solutions in disaster risk reduction, gender equality, climate resilience, and socio- economic development. By mobilizing diverse actors, LIC amplifies marginalized voices, promotes resource sharing, and drives policy advocacy for long-term impact.
LIC partners with the Ministry of Health to provide essential health services while integrating climate-sensitive interventions to enhance community resilience and equitable access, especially for vulnerable populations
Poverty Alleviation: LIC empower vulnerable populations through self-help groups, business seed capital and Youth vocational skills training to foster economic independence and stability.
LIC enhances community resilience by addressing key risk drivers, including climate change, gender inequality, and food and water insecurity. To mitigate these risks, LIC promotes sustainable waste management, clean energy adoption, sustainable food systems, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). Additionally, LIC supports communities in developing disaster preparedness plans and implementing early warning systems to prevent and respond effectively to disasters
LIC champions gender equality, women’s and girls’ empowerment while combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) to build a more just and equitable society. Additionally, LIC advocates for gender-responsive climate policies, improved nutrition and food security, and the recognition of women’s unpaid labor in agriculture
In partnership with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, LIC provides static and outreach-based quality, friendly, and responsive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services while actively creating demand for these services. Our integrated approach ensures the inclusion of child health, Nutrition, mental health, drug and substance use prevention, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response and environmental health
Recognizing the intersection of health, gender equality, and disaster risk reduction (DRR), LIC mainstreams climate-sensitive health interventions that address the impacts of climate change on health outcomes. Our service delivery model strengthens community resilience by ensuring equitable access to lifesaving health services and disaster preparedness measures for women, youth, and marginalized populations.
We focus on localization movement to connects local communities/ vulnerable populations to local actors (local authorities, CSOs, small businesses) and amplifies their voices at the relevant national levels. We uphold the human rights of vulnerable populations and recognizes that there is knowledge, expertise and commitment at all levels, but vulnerable communities/ populations must have space to influence, access to resources and the power to take decisions.
